On May 5, the seventh “Chengdu-Chongqing Double City Economic Circle” Youth Football Tournament, hosted by the Chengdu Sports Bureau, concluded successfully. The Dongpo Primary School team from Meishan City’s Dongpo District competed against over 10 strong teams from cities including Chengdu and Chongqing. Through several rounds of steady competition, they demonstrated solid skills and excellent teamwork, ultimately winning the men’s Group B championship and achieving fourth place in Group A. The performance showcased the energetic and upward spirit of Dongpo Primary School students on the Chengdu-Chongqing stage.

Every achievement is the result of strong support from all sides. The municipal and district education and sports bureaus have consistently prioritized the development of campus sports, providing continuous policy support, improving facilities, strengthening coaching resources, and ensuring financial backing to optimize resource allocation and build a broad platform for steady campus soccer growth. The school deeply implements the concept of integrating sports with education, ensuring comprehensive training and competition support so that children can focus on the field and pursue their dreams without distractions.

Behind this honor lies the deep integration of professional expertise and campus education. Dongpo Primary School has strengthened its strategic cooperation with the Sichuan Football Association’s Meishan base, leveraging its high-quality youth training system and professional coaching team to seamlessly connect campus soccer promotion with professional youth development. This collaboration helps players refine their techniques and tactics in real matches, temper their willpower, and approach every game with a composed mindset.
“We keep moving forward with our original intention unchanged,” said a school representative from Dongpo Primary School. The school will continue to uphold the educational philosophy of “health first,” cultivate campus soccer grassroots, accompany young athletes through the sport, and guide children to develop character and gain growth through physical activity, injecting a steady stream of youthful energy into the development of campus sports in Meishan.
