In the NBA playoffs second round, the Los Angeles Lakers fell 110-115 to the Oklahoma City Thunder, getting swept 0-4. Lakers forward LeBron James shot 8-for-18 from the field, recording 24 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 assists.
After the game, James reflected on whether he is willing to continue dedicating so much of his life to the sport for a 24th season or beyond.
“I think for me, it’s about the process,” James said. “If I can still commit to loving the process—arriving at the arena five and a half hours before the game to start preparing, giving everything I have, diving for loose balls, doing all the things you know you have to do to play the game.”
“Participating in practice, 11 a.m. practices where I’m there at 8 a.m. getting my body ready, getting my mind ready, preparing to train and put in the work. So I think for me, I’ve always loved the process… so I think that will be an important factor (in deciding whether I continue).” (NBA Official Website)
