Italian coach Enzo Maresca has sparked speculation about his future by suggesting he is close to returning to management, during his appearance at a sports awards ceremony.
The 46-year-old coach confirmed he is eager to return to the touchline but refused to reveal his next destination clearly. When asked whether he would return to Manchester City or an Italian Serie A club, he simply said, “We’ll see what happens.”
Maresca left Chelsea last winter, and reports continue to link him with potentially succeeding Pep Guardiola at Manchester City should the Spaniard depart the English club.
