PHILADELPHIA – The Eagles’ full 2026 schedule is set to be released on May 14, but until the official 272-game slate is announced, predictions about their Week 1 opponent are already swirling. Last season, as Super Bowl champions, the Eagles kicked off the NFL calendar with a Thursday night home game. That honor now belongs to the Seattle Seahawks, the reigning Super Bowl champs, who will open the season at home on Sept. 9.
Interestingly, the Seahawks are on the Eagles’ schedule this season, but Philadelphia is the designated home team for that matchup. That rules out Seattle as a potential season-opening opponent for the Eagles.
