
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has opened up about the high demands at Paris Saint-Germain, stating, “At PSG, if you don’t run, you sit on the bench.” The Georgian winger made the remark after a pivotal Champions League semifinal.
In the second leg, PSG drew 1-1 away with Bayern Munich, advancing 6-5 on aggregate to reach the Champions League final. Kvaratskhelia provided an assist for Ousmane Dembélé’s early goal in the 3rd minute, adding to his two-goal performance in the first leg. The 25-year-old has been in outstanding form this season, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists in the Champions League, tying with Bayern’s Harry Kane (14 goals, 2 assists) as the competition’s most productive player by goal contributions.
Kvaratskhelia joined PSG from Napoli in January 2025 for €80 million. In a year and a half, he has played 76 matches across all competitions, scoring 26 goals and delivering 18 assists. Last season, he helped PSG secure six trophies: Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, the Trophée des Champions, the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup.
Before moving to Europe, Kvaratskhelia played in the Russian Premier League for Lokomotiv Moscow and Rubin Kazan.
PSG will face Arsenal in the Champions League final on May 30 at the Ferenc Puskás Stadium in Budapest.
